This page shows the results of applying a custom surface shader, written in the
RenderMan Shading Language, to a Maya/Houdini scene in order to create the illusion
of decay and rotting.
So here are some stills, basically my reference photos, to start you off.
Here is my time lapse video, hopefully I will have time in the future to line all the images up to get a smoother transition.
After finishing the research I got started on taking a displacement RSL shader and converting it to VFL. (Houdini's Shading Language)
This video shows where to take care of the displacement bound.
Here is a bump map I created in Photoshop to be read in by the displacement shader in different channels.
